FDIC-Legal Day One

When Huntington National Bank was selected by the FDIC to purchase the deposits of a failed institution, MKP was contacted 48 hours before the surprise public takeover. By 9:00 AM of the day after the takeover, MKP had written, designed, printed and delivered materials to each of the acquired branches welcoming the acquired customers to Huntington, including generic customer letters, the FDIC notice, FAQs, window and ATM signs. On the sixth day, we mailed a personalized letter to all of the acquired bank’s customers. The goals were to reassure depositors that their money was safe and to set the stage for a smooth and simple transition.
